FAQ

Do I have to be selling to open a Property Room?

No. Most owners are better off opening a Homeowner Room well before they sell, so the paperwork is gathered calmly over time rather than hunted down in a hurry.

What if I do not have all my original paperwork?

Upload what you have today and add the rest over time as you find it, or as you request copies from your property lawyer or the Land Registry. Something is always better than nothing on the day a buyer makes an offer.

What happens when I am ready to sell?

Click "I'm ready to sell" inside your Homeowner Room. It converts in place, your historic documents stay where they are, the seller core documents section unlocks, and you can invite your estate agent and property lawyer to collaborate.

Can my family access it if something happens to me?

Yes. You can invite a spouse, joint owner or trusted contact as a co-owner with full access. You stay in control and can revoke access at any time. We recommend adding at least one trusted contact.

How is this different from a Dropbox folder?

A Dropbox folder is a generic box. A PSD Property Room is structured exactly the way a property sale needs it, with named slots for every document a property lawyer will ask for, and a one-click path from "I own my home" to "I am ready to sell".
